“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
Blog meet Gretchen, Gretchen- blog…
Lets see, I think I posted twice this summer. At times I forgot I even had this blog-summer was just that wonderful. Now that my kids are back to school and I am easing back in to my normal routine I found myself wandering back into this cozy space that I write from. I thought it would be fun to give you a little tour of one of my favorite spaces- my office.
This room is mainly a studying, writing, sewing, jewelry making space for me. It has also become a great space to work on homework with my kids and it is where the Women Living in Faith Podcast is often recorded.
I keep it as organized and clean as possible, but sometimes that goes out the window when I’m working on a project! I work best in clean spaces. I get really distracted by clutter, all I can think about is how I’m eventually going to have to pick it up! Writing is the thing that is hardest for me, so I always clean my office before I sit down to work on anything!
I keep encouraging and pretty things around me in general, but in this room it is a must. My decorating style would be called “Layered Neutrals.” 🙂 I occasionally throw in some color-usually yellow as that is my fave.
The great thing about this space is that I have a direct view of my kids playing outside, and of the beautiful rose bushes too.
Do you ever look around you and realize that God has not just supplied your needs, but He has so lavishly provided some of the things you wanted? That’s what I think about when I’m in this room a lot. I could get by without this space, but God knew how greatly it would bless me. So He provided it. He’s just GOOD that way.
Praying He blesses you with a deeper knowledge of His steadfast love today.
