Pudding Pie

Need a quick and easy dessert?  This one is about as easy as it gets, and is always a crowd pleaser!

Here’s what you need:

Note:  This recipe makes two pies or one pie and several pudding parfaits.

Mix pudding, 3 cups milk and 3/4 tub of whipped cream in a large bowl.

Poor pudding mixture in a store bought graham cracker crust, and then spread remaining whipped cream on the top.

Note: I like to make a homemade graham cracker crust when I have time.  To do this crush 1 package graham crackers in a freezer bag.  Melt a stick of butter in a glass bowl in the microwave.  Add crushed graham crackers to melted butter.  Poor the mixture into a pie plate and smash down untl the whole bottom and sides are covered.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.  (Just watch it, you want it to be a little toasted, but not brown.

The store bought crusts are good, but the homemade ones are better!! 🙂

 The last time I made this pie I made chocolate parfaits in the yellow tea cups my Granny gave me for my birthday.  It was a fun surprise dessert for the kids:)

For these I just layer vanilla wafers, pudding mixture, and whipped cream.

My family also likes butterscotch and cheesecake pudding pies.  These are great for family get togethers because you can make a couple different kinds.
