Thrifty Thursday/ Repurposed Sweaters-3

Thrifty Thursday/ Repurposed Sweaters-3

Last Thursday I showed you how I repurposed a couple of goodwill sweaters to make coffee sleeves.

While those turned out really cute-they were not the main reason I bought the sweaters.  For a while now I have been itching to take old sweaters and make them into cowls and infinity scarves.  The plan was to cut the body out and hem the ends and be done, but when I saw the two sweaters laying there together I changed my mind.

I knew they would look great together, but how to make that happen kind of stumped me.  Should I completely cut them and then sew them back together, or was there any easier way?  I pretty much made it up as I went along, and that’s why I don’t really have a tutorial for you today.  I’m not sure I can even tell you how I went about it!  Not to worry, though!  I have a stack of sweaters sitting next to me waiting for their turn. 🙂  Once I figure out a good way to go about it, I will share it with you!

Here’s how it turned out:

Have you all repurposed sweaters much?  Let me know if you have some advice for future projects!!
