Remember A’s outfit from last weeks WIWW? The legwarmers she is wearing were a very quick addition to top off an already cute outfit! I was up in her room picking her clothes out for church when a pile of leggings with holes in the knees caught my eye. “Hmmmm, those ones with lace on the bottom would make really cute legwarmers..”
The only thing I did was cut them off at the knee-no sewing involved. Right after I cut them she slipped them on. A fashionista at heart-she gave her approval:)
A few weeks ago after my big garage sale morning I came home and threw everything in the washing machine. This was one of my .75 cent finds-
I wanted to wash everything right away and then try stuff on:) I got a little surprise when I pulled my new cardigan out of the dryer…
Yeah, really should have looked at the labels before I tossed this in the washer/dryer! I really liked the colors though, so the first thing I decided to do with it was make more leg warmers:)
Just cut off the length that you want and then try them on!
Perfect:) Check back next Thursday to see what else I did with the holey cardigan!
Here’s another pair of DIY legwarmers I made from a cream color sweater that I found at Goodwill quite a while back-
The Sweater is laying there in the middle.
Here is what I made with it..
I’ve worn the leg warmers quite a bit!

Just FYI-Goodwill usually runs major sales on their sweaters once the weather turns warm:)
Happy Thrifty Thursday!
