“Somebody has said there are only two kinds of people in the world. There are those who wake up in the morning and say, “Good morning, Lord,” and there are those who wake up in the morning and say, “Good Lord, it’s morning.”
We had such a fun busy weekend! Kicking it off were the the neighborhood garage sales going on. We should have done one, but I really hate to be tied down to my own garage sale when I could be shopping at others! I’m glad I didn’t, too, because I found so many treasures! 🙂 Everything from three pairs of stride rite shoes for T, 5 Gymboree dresses for Sadie, several dresses for me, and some puzzles for the kids. I found lots of good stuff!
Here is a look at some of our goodies:
The orange dress may be going to my friend Jennifer. I’m not much of an orange person, but it was .75 so I thought I would try it out;)
This is not even $20.00 worth of clothes for the girls!
Puzzles for .50 each:)
Okay, I will stop gushing over my garage sale experience!;) Saturday morning the girls and I first hit the garage sales and then went to brunch at Mimi’s.
Girls day is the best! Plus the food at Mimi’s is worth my weekly splurge meal!
Saturday night Derek had to stay home with T who was not feeling good:( I was able to go, and we had the most incredible night of worship at Mosiac! Chip preached from Mattew 5:13-16 ESV. Click here to listen to the semon.
Sunday was very laid back with naps, reading, laundry and a trip to the playground. We ended up ordering out instead of grilling out, which made it even more of a relaxing evening for me!
Monday- Big Sandwhiches, Pineapple (Click here for the recipe)
Tuesday- Taco Salad
Thursday-Homemade Pizza, Salad
Friday-Grilled burgers, Corn on the Cob, and Broccoli Slaw, Fruit Salad
Saturday-Leftovers, Sloppy Joes and Fruit Salad
Sunday-Roast, Potatoes and Carrots (for Lunch)French Toast, Turkey Sausage(for dinner)
Goals for the Week:
1)I have still been enjoying One Thousand Gifts, but have not made a lot of progress this last week. I did start my Eucharisteo (thanksgiving in greek) journal though!
My reading goal for this week is 5 chapters.
2) Finish the Pickle Packs! It’s slow goins b/c I am constantly getting intereupted, but atleast Im making some progress-yay for me. We are doing a vendor fair at MOPS this friday, and I’m giving a fully stocked pickle pack away! I may just do a give away here too:) Details to come!
3) Clean out closets, again, and take a load to Goodwill. I’m also working on puting all of the winter clothes away. Dear Weather-you will need to stay warm now-thanks.
I think that’s all the goals I will make for this week, since I still have normal MOPS stuff to take care of!
Hope you have a Magnificent Monday!! 🙂
